Add the chat widget to your site
Copy one line of code and register your domain, and the support button appears in the bottom-right corner of your site.
Copy the code
Open the "Integration" page in your dashboard and copy the code under "Website embed". Place it before the </body> tag on every page of your website:
<script src="{API}/static/aics-widget.js" data-key="pk_xxx" data-api="{API}" async></script>
data-key is your public key, and it's already filled in for you in the code. Save, then refresh your website, and a support button will appear in the bottom-right corner.
If you're using Shopify, you don't need to edit your theme code — see Connect Shopify and WeChat Mini Program.
Register the websites allowed to embed the widget
On the "Integration" page, under "Allowed websites", enter your website addresses, one per line, including https://, for example:
https://shop.example.com
https://www.example.com
Once you've done this, other websites can't use your customer service even if they get hold of your public key. Be sure to fill this in before going live.
Common options
- Dark theme: add
data-theme="dark"to the script tag. - Multilingual websites: add
data-language="auto", and the support window will follow the page's language. - Your own "Contact support" button: call
AICS.open()to open the chat window.
Let the AI recognize signed-in customers
For the AI to look up orders and place orders for customers, it must know who the customer is. This step requires your developer to issue a token on your server; see the developer docs Identify signed-in customers. Without this step, the AI can still answer questions and recommend products — it just can't look up orders.
